What does a Betta requires? Almost nothing!
Every glass jar or just a simple vase can do. Add water, add the fish, feed daily and you're ready to go.
Swiming next to me at the office, and doing just fine!
From time to time you can play with it for a while with a small make up set which included a mirror.
This setup is cheap and almost free of maintenance.
